San Jose is now the 10th largest city
in the United States and home to a vibrant Indian community.
Kum Kum Didi, manager of the San Jose Seva Ashram, saw this
as an excellent preaching opportunity and organized a special
program on July 31st — presided over by Sri Gauranga
Sundar Mahaprabhu. The gathering was small yet sweet, with
several sincere seekers eagerly listening to Sripad Janardan
Maharaj and Pusta Krishna Prabhu discuss the nectar of the
Bhagavad Gita. The teachings of this holy text, they said,
are just as applicable today as they were 5,000 years ago.
Braja Mohini Didi, Ramananda Prabhu and Nandarani Didi, along
with many other devotees, assisted in hosting the event.
