Waves of Nectar on Srila Guru Maharaj's Appearance Day November 6, 2004 Report by Vrindavanesvari Devi Dasi Srila Govinda Maharaj radiated joy and affection on the divine Appearance Day of his Guru, Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj. On Saturday morning, he entered a temple room decked with strands of colorful carnations, scented with eucalyptus leaves, and filled with smiling devotees. Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Gandharvika Giridhari appeared radiant in new lavender and lime green outfits. His Divine Grace sat in his chair next to Srila Guru Maharajís ornately decorated vyasasan and spoke for about 30 minutes, meeting everyoneís eyes with his merciful glance. Afterwards, Sripad Goswami Maharaj and Sripad Janardan Maharaj kept the nectar flowing. Srila Gurudev gave us his holy darshan that afternoon as well, at the San Jose Seva Ashram. The essence of what he said was about the great hankering in our souls to connect with Guru and how that necessity draws the Divine down to us. So many devotees came out of Iskcon with that necessity. Srila Guru Maharaj has left the most merciful and affectionate spiritual father in our Srila Gurudev." –Sunanda Dasi     "My impression is that Mahaprabhuís energy is going through our Guru Parampara, through Srila Sridhar Maharaj and Srila Govinda Maharaj. In many aspects we can see similarities between Mahaprabhuís lila and the lila of Srila Guru Maharaj and Srila Govinda Maharaj." –Munindra Mohan Das     "He was remembering how merciful Srila Guru Maharaj was. He said, ëI was very, very bad. But Srila Guru Maharaj made me good.í He also talked about how Srila Swami Maharaj was such an extraordinary man who spread Lord Chaitanyaís Name all over the world.
